ANNA LINETSKAYA
ABOUT
Born on the shore of the Japanese Sea in Vladivostok, Russia, Anna currently finds herself doing research and writing on the coast of the Delaware River in PA, United States. While her dispatches varied in form and substance over the past decade--from business plans (BS, 2010) to legal briefs (JD, 2014) to creative nonfiction (MFA, 2022)--today she dedicates her time to the critical cultural work she has always dreamed of as a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature student at U Penn.
When she is not researching English translations of Russian classics or teaching Russophone Literature to her beloved students, Anna continues to develop her craft as a creative writer. Her short fiction appeared in Visitant Lit, The Writing Disorder, Nailed Magazine, and elsewhere; her nonfiction was long-listed for Cosmonaut Avenue’s Nonfiction Prize. Her MFA thesis (finalist for the Nyman Family Project Award) and her first full-length biographical novel (for which she received the Jerome Lowell Dejur Prize in Creative Writing) currently going through a pre-publication ripening process on her desk.

Great Determination doesn't mean just you making an effort.
It means the whole universe is behind you and with you:
